HOP Workstream
A broad conversation about the challenges and issues experienced across the town by Children and Families was the starting point for this group. A broad partnership including the VCSE, statutory sector alongside local parents broke open issues around childcare, mental health, educational attainment, green spaces and play facilities and much more.
At this early stage focus is on collaborating with the local authority around the towns early years strategy and a particular interest in support for families and work force development but that is only the start.
This group benefits from some amazing organisations and people, not only active across the town in their particular areas of expertise e.g. special needs, babies and young children, education, but also committed to working together to address the hidden challenges of individuals and families trying to raise families with very limited resources and often feeling that society is against them.
